As China's Belt and Road Initiative continues to expand and many Western countries have tightened visa policies for Chinese students, an increasing number of Chinese nationals have moved to Eastern Europe. In addition to engineers and technical workers, many Chinese students are now pursuing degree programs taught in English at universities throughout the region. As a result, the Chinese population in Eastern Europe has grown steadily in recent years, creating a significant new mission field.

At the same time, restrictions on religious activities and overseas missionary work in China have become increasingly stringent, making public evangelism more difficult than ever. In light of these developments, Eastern Europe has become an important and strategic mission field for reaching Chinese people with the Gospel.

In Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, there is a Chinese church—Prague Chinese Gospel Church—which was established in 2019. After its founding pastor left the Czech Republic in 2024, the church was left without regular pastoral leadership. Nevertheless, the believers have faithfully continued meeting together and are eager to see this legally registered Chinese church remain a shining witness for Christ in the heart of Europe.

Since 2024, this church has been asking Chinese churches in the United States for assistance. Their heartfelt request has been simple: "Could pastors come and shepherd us on a rotational basis?" This year they specifically invited us to help establish a shared pastoral ministry so that scattered believers may be gathered back together, seekers may once again come to church, and the church may continue to carry out its evangelistic and discipleship ministries.

After much prayer, the Missions Committee of the Dallas–Fort Worth Chinese Pastors Fellowship believes that God is calling the Chinese churches throughout the DFW Metroplex to partner together in this ministry. A Chinese church that has already been established may gradually disappear without pastoral care; however, if churches join hands to support it, it can continue to proclaim Christ faithfully to the Chinese community in Europe.

For those holding a U.S. passport, no visa is required to enter countries within the European Union. Under the current regulations, U.S. citizens may stay in the Schengen Area for up to 90 days within any 180-day period without a visa. Therefore, we are prayerfully seeking retired pastors, missionaries, pastors and elders, as well as those holding master's or doctoral degrees from conservative evangelical seminaries, who would be willing to serve in Prague for up to three months (with a minimum commitment of one month) once a year.

If five or six individuals would take turns serving in this way, the pastoral ministry of Prague Chinese Gospel Church throughout the year—including Sunday preaching, Bible studies, pastoral visitation, discipleship, and caring for seekers—could be faithfully sustained.

Appendix

Although the Czech Republic, like many European countries, enjoys religious freedom, establishing a new church is considerably more difficult than in the United States.

To register a new church in the Czech Republic, a preparatory committee must first be formed. The application must then include the signatures and personal information (including residential addresses and dates of birth) of at least 300 Czech citizens or permanent residents who reside long-term in the country, together with the church's statement of faith, organizational structure, and financial plan.

Even after a church is officially registered, it must exist for at least ten years and subsequently obtain signatures from 0.1% of the nation's population before it can be granted certain legal rights, such as officiating legally recognized marriages.

隨著中國「一帶一路」的推展，以及歐美各國逐漸收緊中國留學生簽證政策，越來越多中國人來到東歐。其中除了工程技術人員之外，也有不少學生報讀當地大學以英語授課的學位課程，因此東歐華人人口近年持續增加，形成新的福音禾場。

近年來，中國對宗教活動及海外宣教相關工作的限制日益增加，使公開傳福音愈加困難。鑑於這樣的情況，東歐仍然是一片向華人傳福音的禾場。

在捷克首都布拉格，有一间2019年成立的「布拉格華人福音堂」。在2024年牧者離開之後，教會失去了固定牧養。然而，弟兄姊妹並沒有放棄，他們仍然努力維持聚會，也盼望這間依法成立的華人教會能繼續成為福音的燈臺。

從2024年開始，我們就接到了該教會希望在美國的華人教會可以來幫助他們的請求：「能否有牧者輪流前來牧養我們？」今年，他們更進一步邀請我們以『接力牧養』的方式協助他們，讓失散的弟兄姊妹能夠回來，讓慕道友能夠再次來到教會，可以開展各項宣教的事工。

鑑於這樣的情況，達福地區教牧同工聯禱會下屬的宣教委員會經過禱告之後，覺得應該呼召整個達福地區的華人教會一起來做這一項宣教事工。一間已建立的華人教會，若沒有人牧養，很可能逐漸消失；但若有眾教會一同承擔，它仍然可以繼續在歐洲向華人見證基督。

對於持有美國護照者，進入歐盟國家是不需要簽證的，而且在每180天內，可以在歐盟停留90天仍然不需要簽證。所以我們希望退休的牧者、宣教士、受過保守神學院訓練的博士、碩士、教會的牧師和長老，一年之內可以有一次不超過三個月（至少一個月），這樣的話我們若有五至六位輪流前往，布拉格華人福音堂一年的事奉，包括主日講道、查經、探訪、栽培信徒、陪伴慕道友等，就都有著落了。

捷克和很多歐洲國家雖然都是宗教自由的國家，但是申請建立一間教會遠比在美國困難多得多。在捷克申請建立一間教會必須先建立一個籌建小組；第二，收集300名在捷克長期居住的捷克公民和永久居民的簽名以及他們的個人資料，如家庭住址、出生日期，加上信仰宣言、組織架構、財務方案才可提交申請。教會成立10年之後，經由全國人口的0.1%連署，教會才能舉辦諸如合法的婚禮等事工。
